Biography

I have spent my working life in the fitness industry in one way or another and own a gym in Sheffield where I train clients and perform #TeamTCUK athlete assessments.

I have special interest in improving sports performance and work with a number of professional and amateur sports people from a variety of sports. While I am keen to ensure they progress effectively and become fitter, faster and stronger I equally enjoy the corrective exercise role that looks more deeply into movement patterns and the prevention of injury.

Having a young family I understand exactly what it is like to juggle triathlon training around hectic work schedules and family life – this really help when working with people in similar positions!

I have completed numerous triathlons from sprint distance through to Ironman and have qualified for the IM 70.3 World Championships three times racing there once at Clearwater in 2008. At Challenge Henley in 2013, I finished in 9:43 to come first in my age group. I completed Ironman Western Australia in December 2014 and combined it with a family holiday in Perth, to keep my wife and kids happy!

I am now training for Ironman UK and intend on qualifying for the IM70.3 World Championships again this year and possibly racing at IM 70.3 Austria for the World Championships. I am also aiming to be one of only three people who have raced (and finished!) every Ironman UK 70.3 in Exeter every year since its launch – that would be a total of 10 races.

I am also available for one to one coaching sessions at £40 per hour.
