Health and Safety

As an athlete with triathloncoaching.uk.com your health and safety is extremely important to us. As such we want to minimise the chance of you injuring yourself while performing training sessions or races.

Please read the following information and apply it where relevant to your sessions;

Never swim in open water unless it is part of an organised session and has a qualified coach in attendance.

Always have adequate clothing for changeable weather conditions.

Ensure you bike and other equipment is serviced regularly and is in good working order.

Follow the rules of the road in accordance with the highway code, never use a mobile phone when cycling or running and never cross the white line in the centre of the road.

Arrange workouts to coincide with quieter times on the roads.

When performing cycling drills, ensure that you do not perform them on busy roads. Inexperienced cyclists should first perform drills in traffic free areas.

Do not perform speed/interval workouts in busy places or in poor weather.

Always ensure someone knows the route you are taking on your bike or run sessions and how long you expect to be out for.

If you experience any poor health do not continue to train – seek medical advice before returning to training.

If you have any medical conditions that could affect your training performance or heart rate, contact a health care professional for advice before starting the plan.

The coaches are not employees of Online Coaching Services and you will be referred to a qualified trainer who is separate from the business.
