The coaching from TCUK is ideal if you want a cost-efficient way of being given a bespoke plan that progresses at your pace and can be adjusted to take account of lifestyle and unexpected injuries etc.
The ability to upload training data from Garmin or other devices makes the two-way feedback really helpful and realistic.
If I lived closer to the team I would definitely try to find time for some one-on-one sessions just to have a bit of personal contact as my only difficulty was finding it a little lonely training alone for eight months! I might consider joining a cycling or triathlon club alongside the TCUK programme in order to push myself out on some longer rides particularly over the winter.
