New date for run coaching seminars
15th May 2018 - 19:27 ">
Following on from the hugely successful run coaching seminar that Chris 'The Running Coach' Adams and I held last autumn, we've set the date for another two seminars on Saturday 2nd June 2018.
We're currently awaiting confirmation on the venue from a couple of Sheffield schools and will advise of the chosen location as soon as possible. In the meantime, please find below details of each of the sessions:
Run technique - foundation course - 2hrs @ £40pp
In this foundation course we will look into many of the factors that play a part in shaping your current running technique. The session outlines the natural running mechanism we all have and how effectively we are utilising it. We will examine how ‘ready to run’ your body currently is and provide exercises to help improve your ‘readiness’
The session provides you with specific pre run exercises to incorporate into your sessions. Time will be spent developing adequate range of motion at key joints, reducing muscle imbalances and activating your ‘running muscles'. You will learn how to 'tune in' your natural spring mechanism and how to use it while running and perform specific drills with great technique to help develop effective running form.
Run technique - follow up course - 2hrs @ £40pp
This session follows on from the foundation course and provides the runner with additional time to develop running technique. There will be more complex drill patterns to apply to your sessions to improve co-ordination and body awareness and a more practical application of those new techniques. We will also explore how to adjust technique for uphill and downhill running.
